Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs frozen breaded chicken breast tenders (if not pre-sliced, cut into 1-inch pieces)
3/4 cups chicken broth
1 (15 oz) can crushed pineapple (separate juice from pineapple, reserve both)
1/4 cup brown sugar
6 tablespoons white vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon ground ginger
5 teaspoons cornstarch
2 green onions, optional
sesame seeds, optional
Directions
- Preheat oven according to package.
- Put the chicken in the oven and cook according to package directions.
- Meanwhile, measure the remaining ingredients except for pineapple pieces into a 12-inch skillet.
- Bring to a simmer, stirring often until thickened.
- Turn off heat and toss chicken with sauce and pineapple pieces. Serve with rice. Top with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
